International Order of the Rainbow for Girls

The Order was founded in USA in 1922, in the State of Oklahoma, by the effort of 33rd Degree Brother Mark Sexson, active in various Masonic organizations. The first degrees of the Rainbow Order were granted in 1922 by the officers of the South McAlester Chapter number 149. There are Rainbow Assemblies in many jurisdictions in the world. The Order was brought to São Paulo in 1999, and is linked to the Grande Loja Maçônica do Estado de São Paulo. There are 31 active Order Assemblies in many States of Brazil. The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is directed to the building uip of the character of girls aged between 11 and 20 years of age, emphasizing the patriotism, the cooperation with the next, love for home and community services. Master Masons, Eastern Stars or active members of the Rainbow, parents or legal tutors of a girl are allowed to assist a closed meeting.
